Amber Ellis PT, DPT, Physical Therapist

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and come from a very large family. I have 7 siblings, one being a twin sister, and 7 nieces and nephews. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, my boyfriend/partner Loren, being an auntie to my "monsters", and being a dog mom. I love art, books, music, and anything outdoorsy. I received my bachelor's in health science from South College in Knoxville, TN, and earned my doctorate from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Prior to the world of PT, I spent time in the U.S. Army and specialized in communications. I fell in love with the world of physical therapy after sustaining an injury while serving in the US Army. After having years of PT, I decided that I wanted to be a part of treating patients and started out as a physical therapist assistant, before earning my associate's at Roane State Community College, then moving on to earn my doctorate. I have a passion for helping people of all ages and loves working with all diagnosis’; I have experience with ortho, neuro, pelvic floor health, and vestibular health (vertigo/balance). I hope to help my patients and their families to enjoy longer, healthier, and happier lives through physical therapy. My goals aren't just "Pain relief", it's overall wellness

"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” -Viktor Frankl

I specialize in neurological and orthopedic diagnosis and complications, as well as pelvic floor health and vestibular diagnosis. Some of the conditions I enjoy treating are neuro, ortho-athletes, post-op, pelvic floor, and vestibular issues.

I want to help people enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle while maintaining the ability to live independently in their homes.

I enjoy working at Physio because the overall goal here is to enhance people's lives and overall health.

In my free time, I’m usually running, hiking, spending time on the lake, reading, playing with and petting all the dogs, and spending time with friends and family.
