Maria Moore PT, MSPT, DPT, Clinical Director, Physical Therapist

I grew up in the small, rural town of Camanche, Iowa. I attended undergrad at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and then got my Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. After 8 years of practice, I got my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston. As both a civilian and military physical therapist, I have had the opportunity to practice in many locations both in the U.S. and overseas. As an officer in the U.S. Navy, I was able to see patients in training environments and while I was deployed overseas. In Nairobi, Kenya, I opened an outpatient clinic in my home office seeing diplomats from the U.S. embassy. Most recently, I managed an outpatient clinic in the D.C. area before putting down roots in Asheville. I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years! Most of that time has been spent in outpatient orthopedic settings.

Kindness and empathy. I want to
motivate others to be their best!

I am a clinical director and physical therapist. I see all orthopedic conditions and also specialize in dry needling

Often time when in pain, people will use "google" trying the find the cause and solution. There is a lot of misinformation out there, often leading patients on the wrong path. I want to find the root cause of your pain and educate you on the best way to reach your goals. I want patients to gain an understanding of avoiding future re-injuries to live their best, most active lives.

I enjoy working at Physio because I love being able to provide one on one care for all treatment sessions, something that is rare in this profession. This allows patients to have our full attention for the best quality care.

When I'm not working I’m spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, as well as traveling, hiking, climbing, and anything outdoors!
