Staff

It matters WHO you get your care from. It can make all the difference in the world.  We understand this and practice what we call “Creative Service Care”.

We believe nothing is impossible!

Chris Taylor, PT

Chris Taylor / MPT, CSCS, MFMS, Astym Cert.; Founder, PT Clinical Director

Voted Best Physical Therapist in WNC 2013, 2014 & 2015 by the Mountain XPress Readers Poll Chris loves helping the community and friends become the best they can be. He and his team determine the source of their clients pain or problem in order to provide the proper treatment for them to minimize their pain and maximize their function. In his free time, Chris loves to travel, enjoys running, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.  “I also enjoy golf, tennis, getting together with friends and trying new foods. Lately I’ve been spending time with my family.”

Chris lives in Asheville with his wife, Lara, their two sons Isaac and Eli, dog Bueller, and cat Blitzen.

He most likes Physio because it feels good to know your advice, or treatment helped someone who needed it. We are continually working to better our organization, and are given every opportunity to create the best environment to help people achieve their goals. Our dedicated staff truly cares for our patients. He loves seeing a client for a short time and being able to make a big difference for the better in their health and well-being. Chris became a physical therapist because he loves to work with and help people.  It really makes him feel good when he can make a difference by helping others decrease their pain and increase their function.  He ruptured his Achilles a few years ago and became a patient himself, which he feels gave him a unique perspective so that he can make other’s experiences with physical therapy that much better. “We see patients as people, and we do absolutely all that we can to make therapy a great experience. We do what it takes because we believe nothing is impossible.”

Darren Cadwell

Darren Cadwell / LMBT, Physical Therapy Aide / Licensed Massage Therapist (NC #16367)

“I work one-on-one with individuals who have a true desire to improve their daily lives. I do not provide your typical “fluff and buff” massage, instead I use research based techniques and intuition to effect the body at a clinical level. I strive to provide a service where people get off the table feeling they have improved, instead of being lulled to sleep. When not at work, I am typically either hiking in the mountains, playing music, or enjoying our local Asheville culture. I believe every person should be approached with unconditional positive regard. This is complete acceptance of who an individual truly is, removing ego from the equation. The one thing I enjoy the most about working at Physio is the fact that we are put it the position to affect patients lives in a positive manner.”

I love anything outdoors from mountain biking to zip-lining (used to guide trips as well), if its enjoying nature you can find me there with my dog Scout.
